Sonarworks Software Activation Instructions
Getting Started
In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your Sonarworks software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.
Sonarworks Account
Sonarworks software requires a Sonarworks account. If you already have a Sonarworks account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…
IMPORTANT!
Do not create multiple Sonarworks accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.
Either log in to your current Sonarworks account or create a new one, then proceed to License Activation Key.
Log in to current Sonarworks account
- Go to the Sonarworks website and click Log In.
- Enter your current login and click Log in.
- Verify your current products are registered to the current account.
Create new Sonarworks account
- Go to the Sonarworks website and click Log In.
- Complete the form and click Sign up.
- Sign in using your new login to verify your account.
License Activation Key
Sweetwater has emailed you the License Activation Key to activate your software. Open the email, find the License Activation Key, and follow the steps below to register.
Register the License Activation Key and then proceed to download, install, and activate your software.
Register License Activation Key
- Go to the Add License Activation Key page.
- Enter your License Activation Key and click Register.
Download, Install, and Activate
Sonarworks software is downloaded from the Licenses and Devices page.
Download and install software
- Go to the Licenses and Devices page.
- Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.
- Open your Downloads folder and run the installer:
- PC: Double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Mac: Double-click the .dmg file to open it. Double-click the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Activate software
- Go to the Licenses and Devices page.
- Click your product’s Activate on this device button.
- Click Manage to manage devices and deactivate activations.

If you do not, interest will be charged on the promo balance from the purchase date. The required minimum monthly payments may or may not pay off the promo balance before the end of the promo period, depending on purchase amount, promo length and payment allocation. The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
