I get a Blue Screen of Death (NO_PAGES_AVAILABLE) when I add UAD-1 plugins in Pro Tools 7. I’m using the FXpansion VST to RTAS wrapper.

This is a memory allocation error in Windows. The wrapped plugin is attempting to access a memory location in the system that does not exist. Possible solutions are:

– Checking your installed RAM for errors. You can use memtest, available at: http://www.memtest.org/
– Enable a paging file on your hard drive. Go to Control Panel > System and select the Advanced tab. Under Performance, click the “Settings” button and select the Advanced tab. Under Virtual Memory, click the “Change” button. Choose “Custom size” and set the minimum and maximum values to a multiple of 2 (for example, 128, 256, or 512), to a maximum of 512 MB. Be sure to set the minimum and maximum to the same value. Then, choose “Set,” “OK.” You should only need to do this on your C: drive, but you may need to do it on all hard drives.
– Your UAD-1 card may be bad, or incompatible with your motherboard. Try the VST version in another application.
