Avid Installation Guide: Monthly Subscription
The activation process for the Pro Tools Monthly Subscriptions has three sections: Activating, Transferring the license to your iLok, and Downloading/Installing Pro Tools. Each section has a few steps that are detailed below.
Activation:
1. Visit https://account.avid.com/activation
2. Log in (or create) an account
3. Enter your activation code listed above and click Download Now.
Avid will now check that your account has been validated and that your email and billing addresses are up-to-date. Once your Avid account information is current, you will be asked to enter your iLok User ID or Create a new Account.
Transferring your iLok license:
Once you have updated your Avid account and entered your activation code…
1. Enter your *iLok User ID or click Create Account and follow the on screen instructions
2. Select Sweetwater Sound Inc as the reseller when prompted
3. Log into your iLok account using the iLok license manager. Click here to download the latest version.
4. Drag/drop your Pro Tools licenses to the iLok icon on the left of the License Manger. You will receive a “successful Activation” message once the licenses have been moved to your iLok.
* An “iLok User ID” is the name you use to log into your iLok account. Be extremely careful that you enter the iLok ID correctly. Even the smallest typo when entering the iLok ID can take hours to correct. Do NOT create a new iLok account if you already have one.
Downloading and Installing Pro Tools:
1. Go to account.avid.com and log into your account
2. Click on My Products and Subscriptions
3. Click Product Details and Download Links to view a list of all possible downloads

If you do not, interest will be charged on the promo balance from the purchase date. The required minimum monthly payments may or may not pay off the promo balance before the end of the promo period, depending on purchase amount, promo length and payment allocation. The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
