Apogee Software Activation Instructions

Getting Started

This guide will show you how to activate and access your Apogee software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.  

1. iLok Account
   • Download and install iLok License Manager
   • Sign in with an existing iLok User ID
   • Create a new iLok User ID
2. Apogee Account
   • Sign in with an existing Apogee account
   • Create a new Apogee account
3. Redemption Code & iLok License
   • Enter Redemption Code
   • Activate iLok License
4. Download
   • Download and install Apogee plug-ins

1. iLok Account

iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok User ID for registering your new software, please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, then create a new iLok User ID to deposit your licenses instead. In some cases, users may wish to create another account to register their software to distinguish between multiple studios, computers, accounts, etc. 

IMPORTANT! iLok User IDs are case-sensitive. To reset your password or recover your account, go to the iLok Account Recovery page. 

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple iLok User IDs if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, then try resetting your password or recovering your account.  

Download and install iLok License Manager

1. Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.  
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select “Extract all…,” then click “Extract.” Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions. 
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID. 

Sign in with an existing iLok User ID

1. Open iLok License Manager. 
2. Log in with your current iLok User ID.  
3. View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.  

Create a new iLok User ID

1. Go to the Free Account Setup page.  
2. Complete the registration form and click “Create Account.” 
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.

2. Apogee Account

An account is required to activate Apogee software. If you already have an account for registering your new software, please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. In some cases, users may wish to create another account to register their software to distinguish between multiple studios, computers, personnel, etc. 

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, then try resetting your password or recovering your account.    

Sign in with an existing Apogee account

1. Go to the Apogee website.  
2. Click the user icon, enter your current login, and click “Log in.”  
3. Verify your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create a new Apogee account

1. Go to the Apogee website. 
2. Click the user icon and then click “You don’t have an account, register here.” 
3. Complete the form and click “Register.” 
4. Open your email and complete the email verification prompt.   
5. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

3. Redemption Code & iLok License

Sweetwater has emailed you the Redemption Code to activate your software. Open the email, find the Redemption Code, and follow the steps below to redeem it. The software license is deposited to the iLok User ID you input while entering the Redemption Code. Use iLok License Manager to activate the new license to a valid location. 

Enter Redemption Code

1. Go to the Code Redemption page.  
2. Enter your Apogee account email and iLok User ID.  
3. Enter the Redemption Code and click “Apply.” 
4. Complete the registration form to continue.  

Activate iLok License

1. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.  
2. Activate your iLok license to a valid location.

4. Download

Apogee software is downloaded from their Downloads page.  

Download and install Apogee plug-ins

1. Go to the Downloads page (sign in required).  
2. Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.  
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select “Extract all…,” then click “Extract.” In the new folder, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
