After instantiating a TDM plug-in which uses a large amount of memory (i.e. DPP-1, D-Verb, 4 Band EQ) on an insert or a send, the computer freezes – typically when numerous plug-ins are already instantiated.
DAE has run out of memory. Increase the preferred memory size of DAE through the get info box to compensate for the lack of memory. You do not need to increase DAE’s buffer size under “Set Playback Buffer Size.” DAE needs more memory, not more buffers. Make the increase by at least 500K. Preferably 1MB.
