Q: I have a MIDI controller keyboard that I want use to control two sound modules at the same time. How can I split the MIDI output so it can feed into both?
A: There are two possible solutions:
1. If either of the modules has a MIDI thru port, you can use it to daisychain to the second module. Simply come out of your MIDI controller, into the first module, then connect its MIDI thru port to the MIDI input of the second module.
2. Use a MIDI thru box to split the MIDI out from the controller to feed the two modules. MIDI Solutions makes several great options for MIDI thru boxes.
