Roland ups the ante of guitar synthesis again with the GR-33. It features an upgraded sound engine (similar to their JV-1080 synth) with over 350 sounds ready to go. It sports twice the wave memory of the GR-30 it is replacing and has many other enhancements. You can get it with or without the GK2A divided pickup included.
There’ve been rumors of some breakthrough new products coming out of Event for some time now. When we met with them about a year ago they had just acquired some powerful new DSP technology and were making some bold statements, albeit behind closed doors. Now, the first glimpse of some of the fruits of this technology can be seen. Check out the EZ bus on their Web site. It will most likely be another couple of months before the EZ bus begins shipping, but when they are available we’ll have them.
