Reviews

Great product
I have heard some people have issues with triggering. For my current setup this works great to bring my older snare into the mix on my current middle grade e-drum set.
Roland dual zone trigger
Works great.
The easiest trigger to get working properly
I got mine as a gift but I just had to review it somewhere, and where better than where I get all my gear.

Easiest trigger to use, period. Installs and comes off simply, self levels, and is responsive as heck. You definitely don't need to turn up the sensitivity much, if at all, in fact you may find it too responsive and really have to dial it back, and that's a good thing. Works well with most modules, but a roland will most likely have a setting for it that wont need much adjustment. Buy it! If you want to trigger your kit, or even just your snare, invest in one of these and get some red shots or something for the rest of the kit.

Roland RT-30HR Trigger
I haven't had this trigger very long, but so far it has worked out great! In the ever changing world of Drumming and Percussion, I've finally come to terms with using some electronics with my acoustic kit. I purchased the Roland SPD-XS-SE (Special Edition) and run files from that with this trigger. It has made using claps, finger snaps, chimes and all sorts of extras extremely easy when triggered from my snare head or rim. Even adding effects to my snare sound is pretty cool in certain songs. I definitely recommend this for players that need that "little extra something" to make the song what it should be.

Triggers came in less than a week. Immediately set them up on my kit. Band loves the fact that now the entire kit is live through the PA. Best triggers I"ve ever owned.

Simply put, modern electronic music wouldn't exist without Roland. Many of the electronic musicians here at Sweetwater cut our teeth on TR Rhythm machines and fondly remember programming our first TB-303s. We owe a good part of our careers to this amazing and innovative company. It's been fun to watch and grow right alongside Roland, as they've introduced wave after wave of revolutionary keyboards, digital pianos, and more. For example, Roland's V-Drum Kits continuously redefine the possibilities of electronic drums, beginning with SuperNATURAL technology to the latest Prismatic Sound Modeling. We're huge fans, and we'd love to tell you all about them. Whether you want a pocket-sized synth or a cutting-edge video mixer, if Roland makes it, then Sweetwater is 100% behind it.
