QSC has released version 3.0 firmware for the TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 digital mixers and version 1.2 firmware for the TouchMix-30 Pro digital mixer. The new firmware updates bring a host of new features and capabilities to the TouchMix platform.
The version 3.0 firmware for TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 provides 20 significant enhancements, including features previously available exclusively on the flagship TouchMix-30 Pro, such as:
- Feedback and Room-tuning Wizards
- Real-Time Analyzer (RTA)
- Copy and Paste
- Input Delay
- Output Parametric EQ
- Digital Gain
- Channel Overview
- USB Drive Formatting
- Improved Graphics and Screen Layout
Version 3.0 firmware also offers number of additional, all-new enhancements to the mixers, including:
- Channel Safe
- Tap Tempo
- Tablet Follows Mixer
- Additional User Buttons (on connected tablet)
- Ability to split Aux 7/8 and Aux 9/10 into discreet, mono outputs (TouchMix-16)
- More channels — Because of the new MP3 USB playback functionality, the TouchMix-8 is now a 14-input mixer while the TouchMix-16 now offers 22 inputs.
QSC loudspeaker tunings are also featured in Version 3.0, including presets for the new QSC K.2 Series speakers. In addition, v3.0 provides a new system check, offering direct download of updates when the mixer is connected to the Internet.
The flagship TouchMix-30 Pro is also updated, with version 1.2 firmware, which includes all the features found in the version 3.0 TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 along with a number of additional system and operation enhancements.
The TouchMix 3.0 and TouchMix 1.2 firmware updates are available as free downloads for all current users of TouchMix digital mixers.
