Whether or not you’re experienced with setting up a mixing board, the TouchMix series is designed to help you get great sound fast. In Simple Mode, your TouchMix mixer will optimize channel and effects settings for the best results in a variety of settings, similar to the "Auto" function on a DSLR camera. An index of presets helps you find the best sound possible for vocals, guitars, drums, or any other sound source. And if you ever need some extra help navigating the TouchMix interface, there’s a handy "Info" button that will explain any feature or parameter for you right on the touchscreen display.

Power and Sound Quality Any Pro Will Appreciate

Even though the TouchMix series is designed to be easy for anyone to use, it has everything any experienced professional needs. While beginners may use the Simple Mode, Effects Wizard, and Gain Wizard to get a great sound, there’s nothing keeping you from tweaking everything yourself in the Advanced Mode to fine-tune the sound of your production. All input channels have a 4-band parametric EQ, as well as a gate and compressor. Monitor Any Way You Like with Versatile Aux Sends

Unlike many compact mixers in this class, the QSC TouchMix-8 gives you four aux sends for comprehensive monitoring options (six aux sends on the TouchMix-16). And while you can set up individual monitor mixes and send them to typical stage monitors, the TouchMix’s aux sends also let you drive in-ear monitors or headphones directly. So if the TouchMix is on-stage with the performers, you can connect IEMs without having to connect a separate headphone amplifier/distributor.

Record and Play Back Tracks from a Hard Drive

Recording your live shows is easy with the QSC TouchMix series - you don’t even need a computer or separate recorder. Just connect an external USB hard drive to your TouchMix mixer and you’re good to go. You’ll be able to record all inputs, as well as a combined stereo mix, in 32-bit Broadcast Wave format. You can play back recorded tracks through the mixer as backing tracks or import them into your DAW software later for mixing.

Manage Your Mix Anywhere in the Room via Built-in Wi-Fi

With your tablet or smartphone, you can adjust virtually every parameter on the TouchMix mixer from anywhere in the room. The free remote control app controls all mixer parameters, making it easy to walk the room or tweak monitor mixes from the stage. Best of all, you don’t need any additional hardware to connect wirelessly! Your TouchMix series mixer comes with a Wi-Fi adapter that creates the network connection between your mixer and your device.

It worked right out of the box and was very easy to set up. The noise generator made it easy for us to set the output of our amplifier as we could walk around and make sure that we had good balance of sound being sent to all of our speakers. To be able to save scenes is super sweet, as we use this system for multiple different speakers in a large room with a high ceiling. Not having to readjust everything each week is going to be a real time saver and blessing. I can hardly wait to use the record feature in, as we haven't had the capability to record with the old system that we were using. Had a little bit of trouble getting the WiFi set up, but once we cleared that issue it has been smooth sailing.

Acoustic Player's Holy Grail

I purchased the Touchmix 8 on a Friday afternoon at 5 for a gig starting at 7, due to the untimely death of my old mixer. In a panic I ran to the Big Box store (where I normally scope out gear, then order from SW:), and I saw the Touchmix 8. Having already done quite a bit of "looking" at this mixer, I spent a little more and went with it, I've had great results from my QSC powered speakers and I hoped I would be equally impressed with their mixer.I was/am truly blown away, I hate phrases like "game changer" but that is exactly what this is, so I will say it, this is a game changer. The more I dug in the more I grinned, they built this mixer from the perspective of a gigging musician, not a tech head sound guy. You will actually learn things you never really understood about live mixes using this mixer, and it's so simple to use--another over used claim, but in this case, the absolute truth.I play acoustic solo mostly, occasionally doing bigger gigs, but mostly it's me, my acoustic, and my electric. Setup has always been a pain, not terrible, just boring and tedious. No more. You create a scene, and save it. When you get to the gig, you pull up the scene and play. This thing even adjusts for my QSC speakers, they've just thought of everything.Aux mixes are a breeze, and you can create 5 (6 if you used the "phones" out to drive something like a set up IEM's. FX's sound awesome, and are equally easy to setup and assign.I even changed the "user buttons", so that at break I hit one button and it mutes all channels and pulls up my stereo 9/10 input which plays my break music...just goofy this thing has so many cool features.Oh yea, and you can control across the room from your iPhone...crazy well designed piece of gear. Hats off to QSC, really impressive gear.

Total Game Changer!

The TouchMix-8 has really changed my live performances for the better. I'm extremely impressed with the innovation, ease of use, and range of capabilities that QSC engineered into this compact package. I've built my TouchMix-8 into a nice little 6U rolling "gig rig" and it handles everything that I could ever need at a gig, with room to spare- instrument & mic lines, stereo DJ mixes, auxiliary inputs, and enough outputs to handle my main and sub mixes, an IEM mix, and a few extra lines to spare. The built in EQ & Compression are not only easy and intuitive to use, but provide great granular control over the sound. I've had multiple compliments on sound quality at my recent performances in both a small pub setting and a large reception hall. The iOS connectivity is also great for a "one man band" like me. At events, I often pass a presenter mic off to someone and wait in the back of the room to monitor the event. Is someone holding the mic too far away? No problem. I pull out my iPhone, load the TouchMix app, and adjust the levels. Do I need to play some break music in between speakers? OK. Mute the mic channel and raise the break music channel- all from my phone. Additionally, QSC has great resources. I've had my support questions answered quickly and even been turned on to some uses of the product that I hadn't thought about. Software updates are also released regularly as QSC continues to expand the capabilities of this great software-based digital mixer. I'm really impressed!

Amazing and quick to learn

I used the QSC TouchMix on a corporate gig in Orlando and I was blown away - I never had used it before and was using it in minutes - very easy to get around and sounded great - perfect for small corporate gigs / breakout rooms etc. Every channel has lots of EQ control and it has 8 full mic inputs - quite a nice step up from that standard analog mixer with no sweepable eq and no dymanics control. A VERY nice well-designed unit with a small footprint that's light to carry.

Amazing mixer

It's been a long time since I used a piece of equipment that shows the incredible amount of planning and R & D that went into it. QSC did an outstanding job developing this piece of kit, and it shows the first time you fire it up. The layout is sensible, the features are all there, the processing works great... very well done. My wife is a Christian singer and uses soundtracks for accompaniment. I have a Presonus StudioLive that I love, but needed something small for when I fly. I've used this console on three dates and am very impressed... did I say it sounds great, too? I can throw it in a backpack and put it under the seat of an airplane. My only criticism, and it's really not a criticism but more of a personal preference, is that I don't like mixing on a touch screen. My old hands naturally reach for faders and I miss not having them. That being said, it's easier for me to mix on the QSC iPad app, which is very responsive and pretty much a mirror-image of the unit's touchscreen. While it might be hard to mix a full band with this thing, for situations like mine or smaller gigs, it's amazing. Highly recommended.

Sweetwater Advice

Rob Pelance

As a live musician who brings my own rig to bars, the QSC TouchMix 8 is a great portable mixer to bring that extra level of functionality and ease of use to my rig. I love the flexibility of the internal touch screen and iPad control for playing live. With most other mixers in this price range, I had to choose between having to go back and forth to the mixer or using an iPad to control the mix, but the TouchMix 8 lets me use either one depending on the situation. I can mix front of house, then take my iPad on stage to get the monitor mix just the way I like it. This flexibility makes this mixer easy to use for those of us who don't have the luxury of having a full-time engineer on staff.
