Global

A group of programming parameters found in many electronic instruments and effects processors that allow the user to make changes that effect the function of the device at all times. Most of the custom changes and tweaking that goes on in modern keyboards and other electronic devices we use is in specific programs. Change the cutoff frequency here, or the modulation there. These get saved and recalled with the specific program. Global parameters are for setting things that need to remain across all programs, which would include things like footswitch polarity, MIDI transmit channel, MIDI mode, etc.
