TC Electronic announced that its recently introduced audio interface, Konnekt 24D, will now include Assimilator Konnekt in addition to Fabric R reverb and Fabric C channel strip. What Assimilator Konnekt does is pretty awesome: It can learn the frequency curve of one audio file and then apply it to another. Originally developed as the native fingerprint equalizer for PowerCore, Assimilator Konnekt has been fully tricked-out for Konnekt 24D. It’s perfect for analyzing and copying EQ curves of individual instruments, voices, or even complete reference mixes, but where it will probably be most useful is when used to align the frequency response of different tracks, recorded at different times – possibly even in different studios – then compiled to appear on the same album. Assimilator Konnekt will be available as a free download for Konnekt 24D owners.
