Q: “I recently purchased a Sennheiser Evolution Wireless System. It seems to be “eating” batteries; I can only get 45 minutes out of them? Is this normal?”
A: No. You will get much better performance from most wireless systems if you use batteries plainly marked “Alkaline” only. Do not use those marked “Classic”, “Carbon-Zinc” or “Heavy Duty.” Even if they seem to cost less, in the end, you’ll spend more by replacing them. By the way, if you notice the LED on your transmitter glowing steadily, the battery is still okay. The LED will start to flash when the battery has approximately 1/2 hour of life left.
