Antelope Audio has reinvented their classic portable audio interface with new features and capabilities — the new Zen Studio+ has everything found in the original Zen Studio and much more! Like the Zen Studio, the Zen Studio+ features 12 mic/line/instrument preamps, eight line-level inputs and outputs on DB25 connectors, ADAT and S/PDIF digital I.O, stereo monitor outputs, two reamp outputs, and a stereo headphone output. The Zen Studio+ expands on the original’s USB connectivity with Thunderbolt support. A huge addition is support for Antelope’s reference-quality FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) effects modeling, which runs on internal hardware and place no hit on the host computer’s CPU. A huge range — currently totaling more than 30 — of EQs, dynamics processors, and guitar amp emulations are available, based on legendary studio hardware processors and gear, with more effects being added all the time.
The Zen Studio+ includes Antelope’s 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking for better conversion quality and sonic imaging. A powerful desktop app for OS X and Windows is also included for creating fully customizable and recallable signal routings with up to four independed monitor mixes and control over the FPGA effects. The Zen Studio+ hardware may also be controlled via handy iOS and Android apps — which include the ability to use the phone’s microphone for talkback through the Zen Studio+.
