AKG just sent us their C430 microphone. AKG designed the low-profile C430 specifically for cymbal and overhead mic’ing, and it delivers a unique crisp sound while maintaining a low profile on the drum kit.

Finale for Windows users can now use the MusicXML file format to exchange files. A beta version of the plug-in is available on their website. The format is also supported by a multi-platform open-source app and a few other commercial programs.
