Universal Audio has released UAD Software v8.1. The new version features three new plug-ins: the Neve 88RS Channel Strip Collection, Softube’s Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959, and the Tube-Tech CL 1B.
UA released the original Neve 88RS Channel Strip plug-in in 2007, and it has become a staple for those mixing in the box. The new Collection includes improvements to every section of the plug-in, plus Unison technology, which, when used with an Apollo interface preamp, captures all of the 88RS’s mic/line input impedance, gain stage “sweet spots” and circuit behavior.
