Universal Audio, the manufacturer of high-quality vintage audio hardware and DSP software plug-ins, has announced the Web release of version 4.10 software for the UAD Family of DSP Card’s & Powered Plug-Ins. Version 4.10 includes 14-day fully functional demos of both the new VCA VU Compressor (a faithful emulation of the classic discrete dbx 160 VU, the very first solid-state VCA compressor with the modeling done from the desirable ‘non-monolithic’ original design, adding unique nonlinearities) and the new Precision Enhancer kHz (a UA-developed modern enhancement tool for dull or poorly recorded tracks that’s designed for minimal repairs or drastic alteration, with five enhancement modes ensuring maximum versatility with the widest array of material).
