The MC 840 Condenser Microphone from beyerdynamic is a new versatile solution, providing transparent sound reproduction in critical recording applications. The MC 840 is an extremely compact, large-diaphragm studio microphone that features a gold vaporized double diaphragm and five selectable polar patterns: omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure eight. Based on beyerdynamic’s MC 740 condenser microphone, the MC 840’s capsule has been equipped with an improved low-noise preamplifier and an impedance transformer without transducer.
