When trying to run a Native Instruments downloader on my Windows computer, I get a message that says “Could not create folder “.”. Access is denied.”

This happens when the NI Downloader is located in the root directory of a hard drive (e.g. the C: drive). This can also happen if you have the downloader stored on the top level of an external hard drive.
To resolve this, simply move the downloader to anywhere else within that drive, such as the Desktop on your computer, or to a new folder on your external hard drive.
