Can I upgrade my old Creation Station to Windows 7?
If your Creation Station was purchased in or after 2009 then it is safe to upgrade. You will need updated chipset drivers for your motherboard once Windows 7 is installed which can be found at http://support.asus.com
It is possible to install Windows 7 on a computer without the motherboard drivers and only use the class compliant drivers for your motherboard chipset, however the performance of the PC can severely degrade, especially when connecting external peripherals like external hard drives and audio interfaces. The pre-2009 models do not have these drivers available.
