The Hit Factory Plugins Software Activation Instructions 

Getting Started

This guide will show you how to activate and access your The Hit Factory Plugins software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.  

1. iLok Account
   • Download and install iLok License Manager
   • Sign in with an existing iLok User ID
   • Create a new iLok User ID
2. The Hit Factory Plugins Account
   • Sign in with an existing The Hit Factory Plugins account
   • Create a new The Hit Factory Plugins account
3. License Number, Activation Code, and iLok License
   • Register License Number
   • Register Activation Code
   • Activate iLok License
4. Download and Install
   • Download and install software

iLok Account

iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, instead create an iLok User ID to deposit your licenses. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

IMPORTANT! iLok User IDs are case-sensitive. Go to the iLok Account Recovery page to reset your password or recover your iLok User ID.    

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple iLok User IDs if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account with your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.    

Get iLok License Manager, either sign in with an existing account or create a new one, then proceed to The Hit Factory Plugins account.  

Download and install iLok License Manager 

1. Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.  
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions. 
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID. 

Sign in with an existing iLok User ID 

1. Open iLok License Manager. 
2. Log in with your current iLok User ID.  
3. View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.  

Create a new iLok User ID 

1. Go to iLok’s Account Registration page.  
2. Complete the registration form and click Create Account. 
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.

The Hit Factory Plugins Account

The Hit Factory Plugins software requires a The Hit Factory Plugins account. If you already have an account and want to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may choose to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.    

Either sign in with an existing account or create a new one, then continue to download and install.  

Sign in with an existing The Hit Factory Plugins account 

1. Go to the The Hit Factory Plugins Login page.  
2. Enter your current login and click Log in.  
3. Verify your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create a new The Hit Factory Plugins account 

1. Go to the The Hit Factory Plugins Sign Up page.   
2. Complete the form and click Complete Registration. 
3. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

License Number, Activation Code, and iLok License

Sweetwater has emailed you the Activation Code/License Number to activate your software. Open the email, find the Activation Code/License Number, and follow the steps below to register.   

Register License Number 

1. Go to the The Hit Factory Plugins Login page.  
2. Enter your current login and click Log in. 
3. Select your product, enter your License Number, and click Verify. 

Register Activation Code 

1. Open the iLok License Manager app. 
2. Go to Licenses, then click Redeem Activation Code. Alternatively, click the “..I” button (next to the search bar) to view the prompt. 
3. Enter your code and click Next. 

Activate iLok License 

Your software license is deposited to the iLok User ID entered in the previous steps. Use iLok License Manager to activate your new license to a valid location.  

1. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.  
2. Activate your license to an iLok USB or access it via iLok Cloud.

Download and Install 

The Hit Factory Plugins software is downloaded from the Dashboard page.  

Download and install software 

1. Go to the Dashboard page.  
2. Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.  
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. In the new folder,double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
