Steven Slate Audio VSX Modeling Headphone Registration Guide

In this guide, we will show you how to activate, download, and install the Steven Slate VSX Platinum Expansion software. Follow the sections below to get started.

IMPORTANT: You must register your VSX headphones to gain access to the software!

Create an iLok Account

Steven Slate software is licensed with iLok. To use it, you must connect its iLok license to your computer, either on your hard drive or the iLok cloud. If you don’t already have an iLok account, then you must create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started.

NOTE: If you already have an account, then pass these steps and continue to Register the Headphones. Learn more about iLok licensing in our iLok Quickstart Guide.

1. Visit iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form. Take note of your user ID and password.
2. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
3. Download and install the iLok License Manager.
4. Launch the iLok License Manager app and sign in to your iLok account.
   • (optional) Connect an iLok and, when prompted, click Yes to register it to your account.

Register the Headphones

The first step in the activation process is to register your headphones with Steven Slate. By registering the headphones, you’ll gain access to the Expansion software.

1. Log into your Steven Slate account.
2. Once logged in, go to the Steven Slate VSX download page, enter the passcode on the headphones’ packaging, then click SUBMIT.
   •  If you don’t have an account yet, then an account will be created once you submit the passcode.
3. Once you have registered your headphones, you will be prompted to download and install Steven Slate Audio Center, the standalone application you need to download the VSX Essentials Edition software.

Activate the Expansion Pack

After registering the headphones and downloading and installing Steven Slate Audio Center (SSAC) and the VSX Essentials software, the last step in the process is to activate the expansion pack using the passcode sent to you by your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.

1. Launch SSAC then click ADD PRODUCT.
2. Copy and paste the passcode you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer then click SUBMIT. You should now see a button that says Expansions under your VSX product.
3. Click Expansions under the VSX product, select Activate All, then follow the prompts to activate the Platinum and Mike Dean Expansion software.
4. Close out of SSAC, launch your DAW, and add the plug-in to your audio track.
5. Enjoy your new software!
