How do I send Midi Machine Control (MMC) from Steinberg Cubase to start Midi Time Code (MTC) on a MOTU Midi Timepiece AV? I want to use the MTPAV as the timecode generator.
The MOTU Midi TImepiece AV’s default settings are preset to do this, so you need not worry about its settings.
In CubaseSL/SX, go to Transport – Sync Setup and set the following:
Timecode Source: MIDI Timecode
Machine Control: MIDI Machine Control
MIDI Machine Control Settings:
Input: Not Connected
Output: Port 1 on MTPAV
MIDI Timecode Settings:
Input: MTPAV: SYNC/ADAT
Send MIDI Timecode:
* none selected
Send MIDI Clock:
* none selected
Make sure on your Transport that Sync is highlighted (or press T)
