How do I use Reason as Sound Module in Logic?
In OMS, we must use the IAC bus that is there by double-clicking the icon and discovering the 4 Buses that are available. Please rename those buses REASON 1, REASON 2, amd so on…
after that save this to your current Studio setup, then…
1) launch Logic
2) launch Reason
3) within Reason, go to EDIT> Preferences
4) the 1st page you see is the GENERAL page, Click and hold the arrow unitl you see the selection of ADVANCED MIDI
5)once on that page, there will be 4 buses (A-D)
6) assign each bus to each the perspective REASON number – A being 1 and B being 2 and so
7) click and hold the PAGE selection again until you see AUDIO
8) verify that Reason is now in REWIRE mode
9) now create a device from your virtual rack of REASON by going up to the directory of CREATE and choosing any of the modules
10)Now scroll up to the top of your virtual Rack to your MIDIin device and hit the little down arrow on Channel One until you see choices…
one of the choices should be the module that you created…
11) now toggle back over to Logic…
12) you should already have a Reason Multi instrument created in your environment…by now –
13) please choose your your Reason Mutli on your arrange page
14) choose the same Midi port in the parameter box that you chose in the BUS port from Reason
15) assign 2 audio tracks to the REWIRE inputs
16) highlight the Midi track for Reason and push play on your transport
17) now you should hear the REason module playing thru the outputs of Logic
