Problems getting the USB3 to work with Mac OSX (OS10).

A possible solution is to switch Sample Rates on the USB3 when it is already connected to the computer. Here is a test:

1. Plug the USB3 in to the Mac
2. Pop a CD into the Mac and use iTunes to play the CD… you should hear music play through the mac-built in speaker.
3. From the dock or the apple menu, choose System Preferences, the click SOUND.
4. choose the Output tab. You should see “Direct Mix USB3” as a choice.
5. Click “Direct Mix USB3” to select it….
6. If it doesn’t work right away, move the “Sample Rate” switch on the USB3 from 44.1k to 48k (or the other way). The Sound control panel will revert back to “Built in…”. Click on “Direct Mix USB3” again. Now output from the USB3 should work.
