PG Music Software Activation Instructions
Registering and downloading Band-in-a-Box is a quick, straightforward process. All you have to do is enter the serial number(s) that your Sweetwater Sales Engineer sent you in the Sweetwater Software Activation Instructions email and then download the installers using the links in your PG Music account. Follow the instructions below to get started.
Register serial number
The first step in the Band-In-a-Box activation process is to register the serial number provided to you by your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
- Go to the PG Music Registration page.
- Fill out the necessary information, copy and paste the serial number provided to you by your Sweetwater Sales Engineer, then click Register Serial Number.

Download and install
Once you’ve registered the serial number, the next step in the process is to download and install the software. You can either use the Band-in-a-Box Install Manager, or you can download files manually.
- Once you click Register Serial Number (as outlined above), you will then be taken to the product download page.
- If you want to download everything as one file, click Band-in-a-Box Download and Install Manager.
- Take note of the Download URL listed underneath the installer button as you will need that during the installation process.
- If you don’t want to download the Download and Install Manager, you can install the files directly from the page, but clicking the checkbox located underneath the green download box.
- Navigate to your Downloads folder, then launch the installer.
Activate your software
Once the product has been installed, the last thing you need to do is activate your software. The process is easy, too!
- Once installed, llaunch your software, click Help, then navigate to Activation.
- Copy and paste the Serial Number you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer to complete the activation process.

The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
