“Warning: Loss of Plug-In authorization keys may occur. This system contains one or more drives formatted with NTFS, which have volume names longer than 11 charcters.”
That message is a warning that you have at least one hard drive with a name that is too long.
Go to the Start menu in the lower left hand corner of your screen and choose Computer.
Look at the names of your drives. One or more of them has a name longer than 11 characters
(sometimes we find a name that a drive came with by default like “WD Backup Drive” or that a user gave their drive like “ProTools Sessions;” Both examples have more than 11 characters).
Right click on the drive and choose Rename.
Give the drive a new name that’s 11 characters or shorter.
