MOTU Issue: How to configure Opcode Studio 64X/64XTC/128X with FreeMIDI
FreeMIDI currently does not have a direct driver for the Opcode Studio 64X, Studio 64XTC or Studio128. However, you can still configure FreeMIDI in a manner that will allow you to communicate with the Studio64X/64XTC/128X as full multiport MIDI interfaces. In your FreeMIDI Configuration file, choose “Update Interfaces” from the Configuration menu. Instead of scanning for the MIDI interface, manually choose “MIDI Timepiece” from the drop down list on the appropriate serial port (modem or printer). OK the window. Then, open the “Interface Settings…” window from the MIDI menu and set the correct serial port and port speed (1Mhz). The Studio64 only supports 4 MIDI inputs and 4 MIDI outputs. Therefore, be sure not to configure MIDI devices on ports 5 through 8 in your FreeMIDI Configuration.
