Line 6 Pod HD500X Tips – Pedal Calibration

It is recommended by Line 6 that you calibrate the on-board foot pedal before you start using it. This is a very simple process. Please follow these steps below or refer to the Pilot’s Handbook that came with your Pod HD500X.

  1. Make sure your Pod HD500X is off.
  2. On the 4-way Navigation Pad, hold the right arrow while powering on the unit.
  3. Highlight “Pedal Cal” with the up and down arrows on the Nav Pad, then press the View button.
  4. Set the pedal to the “heel” position, then press the A foot switch to set a value for the Duty Cycle. You should see the value set to 100.
  5. Next, set the pedal to the “toe” position, and this time press the B foot switch. Again, you will see the Duty Cycle value set to 100.
  6. Now press the C foot switch and move the pedal from “heel” position to “toe” position. You should see the Scaled Pedal Values set at 0 for “heel” position and 255 for “toe” position. If you see any other values, restart the process from step 1.
  7. If everything was set properly, press foot switch D to save the settings. You will be returned to the top screen, and Pedal Cal will now show a “P” next to it to show that you have completed calibration. You may now power down the device and turn it back on to begin using it!
