Line 6 POD HD500X Tips – Assign Foot Switches

On the POD HD500X, you can assign your foot switches to turn on/off different effects and amp blocks within your signal flow. You can even assign one foot switch to control multiple effects or amp blocks!

To do this, follow these simple steps:

1. Press and hold the Enter button.
2. Select the effect or amp block you want to control using the 4-way navigation pad.
3. Use knob 1 to select which foot switch you would like to control that effect or amp block. Please note that if you want to use foot switches 5-8, you will have to change the function of those switches in your system I/O. Refer to the article titled “POD HD500X Tips – Foot switches 5-8.”
4. Once you are done assigning your foot switches, press the View button to return to your signal flow screen.
