Lexicon Software Activation Instructions

How to use this guide

In this guide, we will show you how to register, download, and activate your Lexicon plug-ins. Follow the sections below to get started.

Create an iLok account

Lexicon software is licensed with iLok. That means in order to use it, you will need to connect its iLok license to your computer either on an iLok USB dongle. If you don’t already have an iLok account, you’ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. If you already have an account, pass these steps and continue to redeem your activation code. Learn more about iLok licensing in our iLok Quickstart Guide.

1. Visit iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form. Take note of your User ID and password.
2. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
3. Download and install the iLok License Manager.
4. Launch the iLok License manager app and sign in to your iLok account.
   • (Optional) Connect an iLok and when prompted, click Yes to register it to your account.
     

Redeem the activation code

The next step in the registration process is to redeem the activation code. You will need to sign into your iLok account and use the activation code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer to complete the process. Follow these steps to redeem the activation code.

1. Connect the iLok USB dongle to your computer and sign in to iLok License Manager.
2. Click the Licenses menu, select Redeem Activation Code, and then enter your code.
3. Click the Available tab, and then drag and drop the license into the iLok icon.

Download & install the plug-in

The last step in the process is to download your plug-in. Simply go to Lexicon’s download page, select the installer for your OS, then launch the installer. Follow these steps to complete the process.

1. Navigate to the Lexicon product page, select your product, and go to the Downloads section to download the plug-in installer for your OS.
2. Go to your Downloads folder, then extract and launch the installer file.
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, and then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Mac: Double-click the .dmg file. In the window that appears, double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
