K2000 V3 + CD-ROMs
If you have a customer with any of our Series II CD-ROMs who complains that the CD-ROM is blank:
Find out if he has Version 3. If the K2000 is not Version 3, it can’t see the Directories and therefore the CD-ROM looks blank. (All K2500’s and K2vx’s are fine.)
All of our Kurzweil Soundware Products make use of the many cool V3 features. Even if a customer can load a Stratus/RSI floppy into a Version 1 or Version 2 K2000, they’re not getting the correct Programs.
It is important for the Sales Consultant to observe the “Requires V3.0 or Higher” warnings in 4D and pass this information on the customer before he complains.
