On my Kurzweil K2000, which ROM upgrade is which? Which is the orchestral and which is the contemporary?
On the K2000, as you’re facing the key part of the keyboard, upside down, and the ROM daughterboard is in front of you, the ROM chips toward you, the one on the left is ROM1, Orchestral. The one on the right is ROM2, Contemporary. This is as the ROM plugins are closest to you and the machine is upside-down.
Also, the ROMs should be keyed to fit only on the correct side.
They can, however, fit in upside-down. The up arrow should be facing up (away from the main board) when the keyboard is upside-down.
