I’m experiencing audio dropouts and glitches with my Sound Devices USBPre 2!
If you’re running your Sound Devices USBPre 2 on a Windows system and you’re experiencing audio dropouts with the ASIO driver, try using the driver through ASIO4all.
You can download ASIO4all from www.asio4all.com. When you install it, make sure you also install the offline settings. This will allow you to add your USBPre 2 and other interface drivers to ASIO4all for use in your DAW or system audio. Once you set it up, you will be able to choose ASIO4all as your playback device.
Within the offline settings, you should see any connected audio devices. Simply click the button next to the device you want to send through ASIO4all. It should light blue to show that it is on.
