Can a DR16 and a DR8 be linked together with the ALX50? Can they share one large drive ? Networking DR8s and DR16s
The DR8 and DR16 can run toghether via the AX50. The Dr4 however, won’t run with the DR8 or DR16, via the AX50, as it is an older technology, and has much less in common with the DR8 and the DR16.
Currently, they cannot share one large drive, however Akai has announced that software to be released in July of 1996 will provide this functionality.
