Can I slave my DR8/DR16 to an Adat?

A: Maybe. The DR’s will accept incoming time code from the Adat, however if the time code is not accurate (incorrect speed) the DR’s will not sync to it. Basically, the DR8/DR16 will slave to any incoming time code that is at nominal speed. This means that the speed of the time code must be correct (correspond to real time). If the speed of the time code is not correct, the DR’s will use the time code as a starting point, then play under control of its own internal clock.
