Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite Software Activation Instructions
In this guide we will show you how to authorize, download, and install the Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite. Follow the sections below to get started.
Create an iLok account
The Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite is licensed with an iLok. That means to use it, you will need to connect its iLok license to your computer via an iLok USB dongle. If you don’t already have an iLok account, you’ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. If you already have an account, pass these steps, and continue to Register Serial Number. Check out our iLok Quickstart Guide for more information.
- Visit iLok’s registration page and complete the registration form.
- Please take note of your User ID and password, as they are case-sensitive.
- Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the verification link.
- Download and install the iLok License Manager.
- Launch the iLok License Manager app and sign in to your account.
- (Optional) Connect an iLok and when prompted, click Yes to register the dongle to your account.

Download and install software
Once you’ve created an iLok account, the next step is to sign in to your Dolby account and download your Dolby Atmos software.
- Go to the Dolby Customer Content Creation and Delivery webpage.
- Sign in to your Dolby account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one here.
- Click Dolby Atmos Renderer: Production & Mastering Suites link.
- Download all files or choose the files you want to download.
Accessing updates
NOTE: End users can access the latest Dolby Atmos Renderer: Production and Mastering Suite software updates by clicking sign up on the Dolby Atmos Renderer: Production and Mastering Suites product page on Dolby Customer. The Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite download contains the Windows version of the Renderer installer to be used with the Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite license.
The Dolby Atmos Production Suite download contains the MAC version of the Renderer installer to be is used for customers running a standalone Mac renderer with a Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite License (HTRMUPCSFT1) as well as the Dolby Atmos Production Suite.
Both the Windows and Mac version of the Renderer installer include the Renderer Application and the Renderer Remote Application. The Mac version of the Renderer installer additionally includes the Dolby Audio Bridge, Dolby LTC Generator Plug-in, Pro Tools, Nuendo, Resolve Templates, and Documentation.

Activate the software
IMPORTANT: It’s important to note that you have three licenses for the Production Suite software and one license for Renderer.
After the software is installed, the last thing you need to do is activate the licenses with iLok using the activation code your Sweetwater Sales engineer sent. It’s straightforward, so follow these instructions to complete the activation process.
- Launch iLok License Manager, then sign in to the iLok License Manager.
- If you’re activating the plug-in using an iLok USB dongle, connect it to your computer at this time.
- Navigate to Licenses, then click Redeem Activation Code.
- Alternatively, click the …i located to the right of the search bar, or use the Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R hotkey.
- Copy and paste the activation code your Sweetwater Sales Engineer sent, then click Next.
- Locate your Dolby license and drag it to the computer icon or iLok icon.
