Did my power amp / power conditioner come with the wrong cable?
Some power amps and power conditioners come with a 20A (20 amperes) power cable where one of the pins is 90 degrees from the other. If wired properly, a 20A wall outlet has an extra 90 degree blade space to receive this type of connector. If not, the breaker, wiring and outlet are likely spec’d for 15A. If your outlet does not look like the one pictured below, then your outlet is likely wired for 15A service and you will need to use a 20-15A adapter that has a built in 15A breaker to safely connect a 20A device to your 15A outlet. Sweetwater does NOT recommend using 20A devices on 15A circuits without the use of an adapter that has a 15A breaker built-in.
