Explanation:
The installed EMI driver is an older version than 2.1. This driver can only handle the EMI 2|6 and will crash the computer if an EMI 6|2m is connected.
Solution:
Please install the driver that came with the EMI (version 2.1 or higher) as indicated in the manual. This driver is able to handle both the EMI 2|6 and the EMI 6|2m. Using driver 2.1 (or higher) either the EMI 2|6 and EMI 6|2m can be used interchangeably.
