Boom Library Software Activation Instructions

Getting Started 

In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your Boom Library software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.  

1. Boom Library Account 
   • Log in to current Boom Library account 
   • Create new Boom Library account 
2. iLok Account 
   • Download and install iLok License Manager 
   • Log in to current iLok account 
   • Create new iLok User ID 
3. Registration Code
   • Activate Registration Code 
4. Download and Install 
   • Download and install Boom Downloader 
   • Download and install software 
   • Activate iLok License

Boom Library Account 

Boom Library software requires a Boom Library account. If you already have a Boom Library account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

IMPORTANT!
Do not create multiple Boom Library accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.    

Either log in to your current Boom Library account or create a new one, then proceed to iLok Account.  

Log in to current Boom Library account 

1. Go to the Boom Library website.  
2. Enter your current login and click Log in.  
3. Click your user icon and select Order History.  
4. Verify your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create new Boom Library account 

1. Go to the Boom Library website. 
2. Click the Create a new account.  
3. Complete the form and click Create account. 
4. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

iLok Account 

iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, instead create an iLok User ID to deposit your licenses. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…     

IMPORTANT!
iLok User IDs are case-sensitive. Go to the iLok Account Recovery page to reset your password or recover your iLok User ID.

Get iLok License Manager, either log in to your current iLok account or create a new one, and then proceed to Registration Code.  

Download and install iLok License Manager 

1. Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.  
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions. 
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID. 

Log in to current iLok account 

1. Open iLok License Manager. 
2. Log in with your current iLok User ID.  
3. View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.  

Create new iLok User ID 

1. Go to iLok’s Account Registration page.  
2. Complete the registration form and click Create Account. 
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.

Registration Code

Sweetwater has emailed you the Registration Code to activate your software. Open the email, find the Registration Code, and follow the steps below to register.  

Activate the Registration Code and then proceed to download & install your software.

1. Go to the Product Registration page.  
2. Enter your Registration Code and click Register Product.

Download and Install

Boom Library software is downloaded from the Boom Loader app.   

Download and install Boom Loader 

1. Go to the Boom Loader page.  
2. Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.  
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. In the new folder, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Download and install software 

1. Open the Boom Loader app and log in.  
2. Find your product and click download.  
3. Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.  

Activate iLok License 

1. Go to your License Keys page.  
2. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.  
3. Activate your license to an iLok USB or access it via iLok Cloud.
