Its single ceramic humbucker packs a serious low-end punch, with volume and tone knobs to dial in your preferred sound. The Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H's fast-playing maple neck is capped with a 20-fret Indian laurel fingerboard, the perfect combination for light-speed runs from head to heel in absolute comfort. Plus, players of all skill levels will surely benefit from the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H's medium scale length, making this bass easy to pick up but incredibly difficult to put down. And this Jaguar Bass' amazing metallic orange finish is available only at Sweetwater!

Single ceramic humbucker delivers the goods

Sometimes, all it takes is a single humbucker to pump out thunderous sounds that sit comfortably in a mix. Squier utilized this straightforward approach while constructing the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H, loading it with a single ceramic humbucker that bellows when pushed to the limit and backs off wonderfully when playing softly. Sweetwater players can't get enough of this pickup's full-bodied sound and clarity. It works exceptionally well for genres of all kinds, making the Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H a fantastic beginner bass and a formidable backup for gigging musicians.

Fast, comfortable neck with a medium scale length

The neck on Squier's Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H is made from solid maple with an Indian laurel fingerboard, tailor-made for fast playability and stellar response. Its 20 medium jumbo frets provide you with added playing comfort, keeping hand and finger fatigue at bay and producing a wonderful tone. Best of all, its 32-inch scale length makes it a breeze for guitarists to transition to bass without overstretching their fingers. Meanwhile, it's also easier for beginners and players with smaller hands to adapt to the neck.

Squier Affinity Series Jaguar Bass H Features:

  • Fender quality with great Squier value
  • Single ceramic humbucker gives you powerful bass tones with plenty of versatility
  • Volume control and master tone control let you dial in your own sound
  • Fast-playing maple neck with 20 medium jumbo frets and Indian laurel fingerboard
  • 32-inch medium scale length feels comfortable in the hands of beginners, players with smaller hands, and guitarists looking to add a bass to their collection

Reviews

alot of bass for little cash
the quality of these squire basses are getting better and better dare I say almost as good as the Mexican fenders but it sounded great out of the box and I wanted a bass I could mod so I got this because I would cry if I modded one of my more expensive basses and made a mistake I tried to mimic the fender mike kerr jaguar which is way above my price range
Music background: been playing on and off for over 25 years
Solid bass
Great bass, even better modding platform
No sharp frets
First let me start by saying that I am not a bassist. I was looking for something to experiment with and see if I wanted to pursue playing bass more regularly. I use this Squire Jaguar single humbucker Bass as a platform to add a quick bassline to a loop and just to fool around with the sound.
My biggest con is that the neck sags or moves downward if you are not supporting it. I have read this is fairly common with Bass instruments. Overall I am extremely happy with it. I received a Bass that didn't have any fret issues and looks pretty hot. I was really drawn to the bright orange.
Music background: Worship Guitarist
Great addition to the bass rack
I've got a thing for Fender offsets and this one does not disappoint. I also bought the Troy Sanders signature Fender Jaguar Bass from the great folks at Sweetwater and it's an amazing bass. Sonically, this one is quite different with its single humbucker that really delivers low-end growl. It's got quite a lot of output and the workmanship overall is quite good. And, how about that super-cool Sweetwater exclusive color? I may tweak something later on but I'm playing this as-is right out of the box. I'm really happy with this bass; it inspires me.
Great first bass guitar
I'm short, so every standard scale bass I've tried made me feel like I was a little kid, but this Jaguar fits me perfectly. This is my first bass so I can only compare it to others I've played briefly, but for the price, I really think it can't be beat. Good build quality, not a ton of neck dive (for me at least), and easily modified if that's your thing. I'm excited to spend years playing this bass.
