No sharp frets
First let me start by saying that I am not a bassist. I was looking for something to experiment with and see if I wanted to pursue playing bass more regularly. I use this Squire Jaguar single humbucker Bass as a platform to add a quick bassline to a loop and just to fool around with the sound.
My biggest con is that the neck sags or moves downward if you are not supporting it. I have read this is fairly common with Bass instruments. Overall I am extremely happy with it. I received a Bass that didn't have any fret issues and looks pretty hot. I was really drawn to the bright orange.
Great addition to the bass rack
I've got a thing for Fender offsets and this one does not disappoint. I also bought the Troy Sanders signature Fender Jaguar Bass from the great folks at Sweetwater and it's an amazing bass. Sonically, this one is quite different with its single humbucker that really delivers low-end growl. It's got quite a lot of output and the workmanship overall is quite good. And, how about that super-cool Sweetwater exclusive color? I may tweak something later on but I'm playing this as-is right out of the box. I'm really happy with this bass; it inspires me.
Great first bass guitar
I'm short, so every standard scale bass I've tried made me feel like I was a little kid, but this Jaguar fits me perfectly. This is my first bass so I can only compare it to others I've played briefly, but for the price, I really think it can't be beat. Good build quality, not a ton of neck dive (for me at least), and easily modified if that's your thing. I'm excited to spend years playing this bass.
