One of the most common aftermarket installations that you’ll see on a Telecaster is the addition of a humbucker in the neck position. Teles slung by the likes of Keith Richards and Albert Collins have been retrofitted with neck humbuckers to fatten up the tone of the Tele. Now with the Vintage Hot Rod ’52 Tele, Fender is making available a Tele with a very definite vintage vibe, but more modern features like a Duncan mini humbucker at the neck. A very cool guitar indeed!
