Tascam has a new, cross platform CD burning package. The CDR Deluxe comes with a Teac 6×24 CDR drive, Adaptec 903B PCI SCSI card, all required cables, and not one but two blank CDR discs.
Congratulations to Sweetwater customer Randy DeFord for having his mug (and his studio, Oakroad Multimedia) featured on Mackie’s Web site as winner of the 2000 Telly Award and Aegis Award for excellence. Being billed right next to Canadian rock guitar icon Alex Lifeson is indeed impressive as well.
FX Expansion has what they claim to be the first freeware drum sampler plug-in available for the VST environment. The DR-002 as they call it, can be downloaded from their Web site.
