Spectrasonics recently announced their new flagship virtual instrument, named Omnisphere. Dubbed a “Power Synth,” Omnisphere forges new sonic territory by merging hybrid real-time synthesis techniques, an epic library of remarkable ‘Psychoacoustic’ sounds, and many innovative features that have never been seen before in hardware or software synthesizers. Omnisphere is based around Spectrasonics’ STEAM Engine, their newly developed core technology. Omnisphere is set to be released September 15, 2008. Stay tuned for details.
