Beautiful Piano Sounds!!!

By Sweetwater Customer

This is a gorgeous plugin both visually and sonically. It puts tons of excellent sounds into your hands with lots of features to fine tune your sounds. It is a bit expensive for a plugin, but you know the old saying "you get what you pay for", this plugin/library is worth it!

DONT THINK JUST BUY IT ! NOTHING ELSE COMPARES

By Isaac S. from York, PA
Music Background: Keyboardist / Dummer / Producer

Keyscape is truly a timeless masterpiece. Even at 10+ years old it proves year after year that it's an instrument that has stood the test of time. Sure there's still a ton of purists out there complaining about the trivial stuff no one actually cares about, but the sound of this Yamaha CFX Grand right out of the box is undeniable and will have you playing for hours before you even realize it. I've spent a small fortune on piano VST's, and even Ravenscroft being one of the absolute best I've heard, pales in comparison to Keyscape lol. Sonically speaking I have yet to hear any piano VST that comes close to the fullnes, the richness, the depth and warmth of Keyscape. I have not had the pleasure of playing Pianoteq yet, but I have heard many comparisons and so far, Keyscape is king! If you're even thinking about buying this, stop thinking and buy it! I bought Keyscape in 2019 and I literally play it every single day! I use it at church, for studio sessions, gigs, club work, you name it! It is truly worth every penny because you will absolutely be playing this 10 years from now! It's that good!

Exceptional Piano & Keyboards

By Bill F. from TAMPA, FL
Music Background: Studying Jazz Piano

In my opinion, it's really hard to beat the samples found in this Keyscape package. The piano itself is simply amazing. Sounds great with plenty of options to customize and tailor the sound. So much dynamic range and response across the entire keyboard. It's a joy to play.

Nothing near PianoTeq

By Jacob from F
Music Background: Professional Gigger, Studio musician, Teacher

I have had this collection for some time, and I have to say that it is way overpriced for the quality compared to other keyboard VST titans. Most notably bad are the staccato sample trails that sound too gated and super unnatural and the noisy hiss that comes in as soon as you key on a note and fades shortly after the key off. It really shouldn't matter in a mix as much, but for practice and enjoyment, it really does take away from the experience. PianoTeq, which is a modeling (ie not sampling) vst is a good bit cheaper and sounds incredibly pure and expressive. Works excellently in a mix as well because it is so infinitely tweakable. I can get any sound I need out of it, and I have to say that Keyscape is one of my biggest gear buyer's remorse. I regret it, and I hope you don't have to.

Keyscape

By James H.

Hi, This review is about the Keyscape software and Spectrasonics. Not about Sweetware. I know there is a no software return policy.
Most of my disappoinment is sound of the pianos in the software. Because I didn't do enough research. I did not realize it only had one piano with different variations. I was also want to use the MKS-20 sounds to thicken my regular piano sounds. I watch a few you tube videos and hear them raving about the quality of the piano sound alone were worth the purchase price. In my opinion. Not so. So after try to work with the software for a short time I gave up. I contact Spectrasonics. Know I could not return the software to Sweetwater. Which I completly understand. So I asked Spectrasonis to release my serial number and unregister it. Explaning to them I wasn't happy with this $ software. And I would like to resell it at a lose to try and recoup some of my money. Then sent me a return email stating eighty persent of the poeple who don't like the software and want to return it. End up repurchasing it at a later date. And that would be financially stressful for me. And they really can't release the serial because it is too complex and would cause issue for the next person I sold the software to. What an unacceptable answer. I sent them back another email on how I felt about being trapped in a $ purchase with no recourse.
I uninstalled the software and I am working with Spectrasonics now in the hopes of some kind of refund.

Outstanding sounds and value

By John B. from Philadelphia, PA
Music Background: Independent musician/producer

I was watching a Logic session breakdown video by James Raymond (songwriter, musician, producer, son of David Crosby). When I heard the Rhodes sound, I though he must have gotten his hands on a real Rhodes. You could literally hear the tines themselves, like the actual objects were right in front of you. Later in the video he opened the Keyscape plugin window. That was pretty much all it took for me to hop on Sweetwater.com and check it out. This set is absolutely outstanding. So far I have only delved into the acoustic grands, the Rhodes, and the vintage EPs (which I absolutely love). I use Logic, so there are already a lot of keyboard VIs, and in my opinion, they are quite good. But the Keyscape set takes it to another level (I hate that expression and I'm still saying it). It really does. If all I got out of it were the sounds I've explored so far, I would consider it a bargain. But there is SO much more. Hard to go wrong with this if you're looking for dead-nuts realism.

Quite impressive

By Edwin G. from Chesapeake
Music Background: Novice keyboard player. Vocal arranger

When I first received Keyscape , my first attempt was using it as a standalone. I was immediately blown away by the sound using an Alesis 88 recital pro keyboard. I tried the Rhodes custom and the Cinematic piano. It sounded great as compared to the plugins that came along with my Yamaha Motif ES8. It worked well with Logic Pro. I save the recorded song as a wav file and listen to it in my iTunes and it sounded as if I was in an actual recording studio. Highly recommended for keyboard enthusiasts and to any music minded person. You can't go wrong. Check on the YouTube link to listen how Keyscape sounds using an Alesis 88 recital pro. I'm using Final Cut Pro X for my drone video recorded in 4K.

Yes, It's Still The Best

By Domanick S. from Athens, OH
Music Background: Music Producer, Songwriter, & Engineer.

Released years before my comment here, this piano and keyboards plugin is still one of the best you will find for any genre of music from rap and rock to pop or orchestral compositions. It is my go-to piano for any track and serves as my primary starting point for making music. Note that while it sounds absolutely breath taking, it is one of those plugins that is truly only as good as its user. Still, it will take your average sounding piano mixes to a whole new level with the use of less effects and processing for that clean shine and professional polish. While it is expensive, it is worth every penny if you can afford it.

Love all of spectrasonics products

By Noel from NYC
Music Background: Producer dj

Spectrasonics products must be respected
Because they are nothing less than top quality; the only gripe I have with the company is that they are not flexible or forgiving when it comes to their prices; I have checked black friday; and Christmas and that price does not budge even after purchasing other of their products. Still I give it 5 stars for quality but discount for quantity I will not mention.

Who moved the yamaha grand piano into my studio?

By Ron F. from Sunny Canton Ohio
Music Background: Arranger, keyboard, engineer and cowbell expert

I haven't made it past the grand piano sound and I've had it for 3 weeks. I've set the damper release sound to taste, started w/ the club sound and proceeded to change many midi performances to carry keyscape realism. It honestly takes me back to my college days when there was a Yamaha grand in one of the practice rooms. If you've played a yamaha grand you will connect with it instantly.

This isn't a very broad review ... really, I haven't made it past the piano. It's an instrument I use to center what I arrange so it stands to reason.

The only negative is that it's pricey for its age. But, it's stood the test of time.

I've attached my arrangement of an unpublished Paul Earnest tune "Back and forth".

It sounds real! It sounds awesome!

By Ryan B. from Battle Ground, WA
Music Background: Home Recording/Musician

I love this software. It's difficult to give it the kind of review that it deserves. The sound quality is as good as it gets. My practice time has increased dramatically since installing it. I have had nothing but good experiences recording with it in Reaper too. The stand alone and the VSTi are both incredible.

The only complaints I have are the following. I can't see a replay visual of the keys after recording a MIDI take. Sometimes that helps me to remember what it was that I was doing without much effort. It is a feature in my Korg software that I really like. The other complaint is that it is a painful installation process. But, that only happens once.

Worked for a little while but ...

By Matt from Texas

... it soon began to malfunction. It exhibited a severe gain drop and the sound was broken and glitchy. This was true regardless of the DAW or Keyboard controller being used. None of the other keyboard instruments I own exhibited this behavior. I struggled with Spectrasonics Tech folks for a number of months trying to resolve this issue to no avail. I eventually had a Sweetwater Tech Rep help me uninstall it as it has no uninstall feature.

Spectrasonics Keyscapes

Waited quite a while to pick up this library, and was it worth the wait!! Everything sounds great as usual with Spectrasonics products, but these are over the top!

What I really love is the Velocity control that connects with your MIDI controller! A difference maker!

And the Rhodes and Wurlitzer Sounds! Sounds like I just purchased the actual restored keyboard!

Once again, Spectrasonics did a great job!

Keyscape is showing its age...

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: Lifelong, classically trained amateur pianist and retired software engineer and information technology executive

I am likely not the most typical user, as I was really only interested in the grand piano, and that for almost exclusively live performance. I don't record, arrange or compose music (I don't even use a DAW), and have no real interest in the other instruments in this package, so my review may not be of interest to most other potential buyers.

The good:

The sampled grand piano is obviously a brilliant instrument with a simply gorgeous, rich tone. It is a pleasure to play and listen to with a wide variety of music. The software offers a very nice amount of control over the instrument's sound and response. For a player like me, the amount of control on offer here is much more than I need, but the controls don't get in my way, and the defaults work extremely well.

The bad:

At low volumes through good headphones or monitors, the samples are noisy, with audible hiss. My only complaint about the factory default software settings is that the mechanical pedal and action noises are too loud. I had to turn them down to keep them from being distracting.

The ugly

Unlike some of its newer competitors, the grand piano instrument doesn't support use of the middle sostenuto pedal, making performance of some music much less effective. There was also no attempt to sample, model or simulate sympathetic string resonance, again falling pretty far short of the realism of several similarly priced newer competitors.

Conclusion

Still beautiful to play and listen to, but at this price point, Keyscape's grand piano is not the best choice available for buyers mainly interested in the best and most realistic grand piano experience, having been eclipsed in all aspects by some of its newer competitors. For those interested in the other instruments, this may remain the best, or only, choice, and that may well justify the purchase.

Excellent Sounds, Resource Intensive, Excellent Omnisphere Integration

By Sweetwater Customer

I had watched lots of videos of Keyscape before purchasing so I expected great sounds and I got them. You do need to take into account the instrument that was sampled when judging. The Yamaha Grand sounds like a Yamaha, not a Steinway, and just hitting a dark character button is not going to change that. But taken for what they are, they are beautiful reproductions of the instruments being sampled. The electric pianos in particular are stand outs.

I had also read the reviews so it was no surprise that Keyscape is very resource intensive. There are ways documented in the manual to try and cut down that load. However, what I found is that if you try to layer some of the more resource intensive instruments such as the Yamaha Grand and the LA Rhodes within Omnisphere live mode, it was not enough and I still got breakups in the audio. This was using a fairly decent desktop computer. To be fair, my samples are not on a SSD. I'm not sure whether that would matter or not in this case. This problem with layering may be why they provided the DUO patches. For example there IS a duo patch for the LA Piano (Yamaha grand) and the LA Rhodes and it sounds great without the breakups. That works well IF there is a DUO patch that has what you want. For example I would like to layer the Yamaha with the Honky Tonk Wing Piano. While there is a Yamaha Wing Duo, it isn't exactly what I want and uses the Wing Piano tremelo setting. On the other hand, the DUO - Tiny Saloon is quite delightful for Ragtime. Of course none of this is a huge problem if used in a DAW where you just render down the tracks in audio and then mix as desired. But it might be an issue for those wanting to use it live.

The last thing I want to talk about is the integration with Omnisphere. That is very well done and in my opinion the sum is greater than the already excellent parts. And although I complained about stacking in live mode, there are plenty of omnisphere patches that will stack just fine with a Keyscape patch without breakups. For example, I like stacking the LA Rhodes with the Gorgeous Analogue Pad Dark (up an octave). And if you want to use Keyscape sounds as a basis for a new patch, there are some very good videos on the web of doing so.

All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. The sounds are wonderful, and the integration with Omnisphere is terrific.

In terms of what I have to compare this with I have Komplete 12 with the various instruments in Kontakt. I also have the demo version of Pianoteq and have played around quite a bit with some of the pianos in that. Finally, I have UVI Falcon with various extensions with some instruments represented in both.

Unusable unless you have a super computer

By Sweetwater Customer

I bought this having read the system requirements. Despite my Macbook Pro 13" meeting all requirements, Keyscape is unusable on my computer. The audio glitches and the instruments literally take 45+ mins to load. Even after I've optimized and dumbed down the configurations to the bare minimum. Each time you want to play with the settings -- guess what? The instrument reloads and takes another 45 mins.

All creativity and momentum is dead. This is utterly useless and I'm down $...

Realism, detail, flexibility

By Craig V. from Fresno, CA
Music Background: Musician, composer, professor, jazz piano, worship

You can immediately hear the care with which the Spectrasonics team captured these sounds. I love the Yamaha C7, 2 different classic Fender Rhodes, the Wurli and of course, the Claviinet. But as great as the raw samples are, the GUI is really intuitive and sounds are so flexible, I made some tweaks I liked and stored them as new patches. The playability is very customizable too. I spent a couple hours fine-tuning the velocity response from my keyboard controller, which once dialed in, made it super expressive and responsive. Not everyone will need to do this (it comes with response curve presets for a whole bunch of keyboards, but mine was so new, they hadn't done one for it yet) but I appreciate that Keyscapes allows you to roll your own. Features such as adjusting the damper volume on note releases, can give you that "inside the piano" effect you get when close micing, there's a knob called "color" which I can't really explain, it's some kind of voodoo built in, but it's awesome to get different variations. I'm a synth programmer since way back in the day ('70s) so I'm way into these sound design features, but if one just wants to fire it up and find a sound they like, it's covered, lots to choose from. I like the way it loads sample sets. within a split second, it loads a playable "preview" of the patch as it continues to load the whole set, which typically takes a couple seconds...and that's with a spinning drive! They recommend a solid state drive, so I guess they would load a lot faster, but for my purposes, a standard drive works fine. I am hoping they expand it someday to include a Steinway or Bösendorfer grand, but now I'm just getting greedy.

If you are on the fence...JUMP into Keyscapes. Highly recommended!

Best I've heard !!!

By Nyle Q. from CA

Rating this sound library anything less than 5 Stars would be absolutely criminal !!! I'm a self-proclaimed Rhodes snob and have owned and or auditioned almost all the electric piano libraries on the market in the last 15 years, KEYSCAPE is by far the best. Two weeks after exploring KEYSCAPE I went ahead and sold my "real" 1973 Mark I Fender Rhodes (Buz Watson) because this library sounded so darn good with more than enough instrument/sound/sculpting options. All the additional instrument categories are icing on the cake... also very rich, very useable sounds. Total game changer.

Close but no cigar! No semi or half pedaling support! :-

By DR7U15 from PA
Music Background: MI Graduate

I expected a more fluid/organic piano pedal support. Without proper control for the intricacies of a real pedal, the performance is a pain in the rear to control. The pedal is either on or off. There is no semi or half pedaling support. You won't be able to achieve the subtle nuances of playing an acoustic piano with such poor pedal and velocity control. Alicia's Keys from Native Instruments is a far more organic experience. No matter how much I play with the velocity curve in Keyscape, I cannot find something that can come close to the feel and dynamic volume control of a real piano. With Alicia's keys the layer transitions are way smoother. In Keyscape the transitions between layers often feel abrupt and unnatural. The sounds for all other keys are great in this product and there is enough variety to satisfy many recording projects but dealing with the piano performance issues will always gravitate me towards Alicia's Keys. I regret this purchase given the current price. It would be a more reasonable product at a lower price but each to his own. Your mileage may vary. Just don't buy it for the acoustic piano. If you like the other voices available in this product they are quite solid.

Spectrasonics is awesome

By Tommy from Portland
Music Background: Bandleader and music teacher

Quality over quantity. This collection of keyboards is awesome for the depth of sound captured in each patch. It is cool to see a company go to the lengths to restore and refurbish vintage keyboards and to record them so well. I use them on two different laptops simultaneously to get different voicings for each hand. You can also split the keyboards on different portions of your keys for even more options. The effects that come with each set of keys sound great too and are really easy to dial in good sounds. It is also cool to see pictures of the vintage instruments onscreen as you play them. Takes you back even if it's before your time. I'm looking forward to getting more stuff from Spectrasonics in the future!

The only one

By Rabih
Music Background: Pianist/Keyboardist/Composer

This is the only collection of pianos and keyboards that transforms my 88-key controller into a living breathing instrument. When i play it, they keys become heavier (in a good way) and my fingers magically become glued to every little dynamic and timbre that comes out of those instruments. No other software piano/keys library does that for me and trust me i have them all!

Where do i start? From the C7 to the Wing upright to the LA Rhodes to the magical hybrid patches.

Amazing stuff, stuff that you take on a secluded island for the rest of your life.

Go-To Piano

By Peter

Honestly the best thing about Keyscape for me is that is has a go-to Piano. I never had something I could just turn on and start writing / recording in any style without worrying if I have the right piano. This is the right piano. It's versatile, can be moody, bright, neutral, dark. It also has a depth to the tone that you'll hear everyone who's played it go on about. That depth is something that sets it apart tonally from most other software pianos.

Another awesome part of Keyscape is the vintage digital electric pianos, they were captured beautifully, and they offer a good amount of very classic 80s / 90s keyboard sounds. The chorus on these patches is very very good.

All in all, Keyscape is clearly developed with performance in mind, performing with it feels right, in a way that is hard to find in software keyboards. Like most spectrasonics products, you can quickly tell that this will be a staple instrument for years to come.

Keyscape !

By Sweetwater Customer

I have wanted this for quite awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I have to say the the Yamaha Piano is worth the price alone. It's dynamic, authentic, very playable, and sounds incredible ! All of the variations are great too. There is so much tweaking you can do that you can make the piano work in a variety of situations. I used it in Main Stage for a performance and it worked fantastic. I feel like the "rock" versions of the piano are a bit bright but after a bit of tweaking to my taste I love them.
The Rhodes are mind blowing. I own a Rhodes Stage model and I can make adjustments to the LA Rhodes to make it sound just like the real thing. The amped versions are also very good ! Nice bite and you can really hear the way the amp effects the sound. All of the effects simulations that they use are very spot on. I was able to leave the Rhodes and the MXR phaser at home for a show and I didn't feel like I was compromising at all. The Wurly is also great ! I have a 200A and I can dial in the sample to mimic it almost perfectly ! I love that they included the ambient sound of playing a Rhodes and Wurly. It almost gives you the feeling that you are sitting in front of one. Spend some time on the Velocity curve if you don't have one of the included keyboards. It makes a big difference to make these instruments play more like the real thing. All of this and they give you the piano bass, the tack piano, the Pianet, the Clarinet (OMG SO GOOD) and so much more. It's worth every penny !

1 star? What?

By Delon L. from Wellsville, UT

I am writing this review because I realized someone left a 1 star review. They said the plug does not work seamlessly. This is shocking. I had a completely different experience with Keyscape. It is easy to install, easy to use, and sounds PERFECT. Do yourself a favor and purchase the library.

Absolutely Positively Amazing!!!

By Rafael

Most reviews i find are immensely blown out of proportion and makes the purchase of software and other products that much harder. I really can't express enough how awesome and tremendously valuable this instrument is. Spectrasonics Keycape is at the top of the piano library in my opinion. Not that others aren't good, but because Keycape is that much greater. It has seamlessly crossed the line of VST and entered the realm of a musical instrument. Its extremely playable. It makes you want to play more and pulls more out of your playing whether beginner or advanced like i am. They have modeled the piano to the highest detail and integrates with Omnisphere magnificently. This instrument is to the producer, piano player, keyboardist, musician, what water is to the human body. Truly, a must have!

The best collector keyboards library EVER!

By SAM M. from ARCADIA, CA

It's simply amazing! You definitely need serious horse power to run the patches. Acoustic piano patches are very good but there's also other good Piano libraries with their own character. As far as everything else goes, you'll be totally blown away. It's highly addictive so you'll find yourself spending a lot of time with it!

The BEST

By NS

The past month my friend and I have been comparing all the major players out there, both acoustic and electric pianos. With both say ALL THREE THUMBS UP for Keyscape. Granted, a lot of unusable sounds of bizarre (yet interesting) instruments, a few real dogs that we will NEVER EVER use- but the important ones? Acoustic Grand, Rhodes, and Wurlitzer? Keyscape hits it out of the park. There are bigger sample libraries out there- but NONE BETTER. This is IT. You would need a PERFECT physical instrument to better this- and there are great advantages to MIDI vsts. Wow, that's all we can say. We are both professional musicians and engineers, 63 and 67 years old with no commercial ties to any product. Expensive? Kind of- but a crappy Rhodes alone will set you back, not to mention what a good piano would cost. I recommend nothing above this, this is in a league of its own.

Amazing Keyboard Collection

By RBG

I am impressed with this instrument plugin and sample pack. I especially love that the samples are mapped across ALL 88 KEYS, even if the original instrument had a much smaller keyboard. So great. The instrument collection is very creative with 10 categories of keyboard types. The Spectrasonic plugin instrument works very smoothly, though it doesn't seem to let you load multis - only one instrument per plugin instance. Each acoustic instrument is sampled in many different styles (retro, shiny, room, wash, etc.) so that you can create an 'orchestra' out of each individual instrument. The C7 collection is the best I've heard and is very expressive to play. Genius recording engineering gives each instrument a great acoustic presence. Worth twice the price.

Spectrasonics Keyscape Collectors Keyboards Plugin

By Lannie B. from Hands In Motion Music at Tampa, Fl

I finally found a keyboard plugging that surpassed all my expectations. Great sounds at a moderate price. I own a C7 Grand Piano at our Hands In Motion Recording Studio at Tampa, Fl. And this plugins captures all of its character to the smallest detail. And wow... what a Rhodes sound. This plugins is a must have for producers working on various music genres like I do. Thanks spectrasonics!

Keyscapes Changes Everything

By Sweetwater Customer

DISCLAIMER: I am not an accomplished keyboardist although Keyscapes makes me feel like I am. My best friend is very accomplished on keyboards releasing independent albums streaming in 40 countries. He raved to me about Keyscapes and the fact that his latest album came together in just a matter of days because of this software. He strongly recommended that I acquire this package. I've used a number of software programs and loops to augment my bass, guitar and keyboard tracks.

While it did take me some time to figure out a platform host to run this on, it was jaw-dropping from the start! The sounds are miles ahead of anything I'd used previously and the ideas just pour out since this collection is so inspiring down to the smallest detail. You get the authentic sounds including the 'noise' of the instruments that you can control by parameters to enhance your experience.

The end results are worth the hoops you may encounter. My highest recommendation!

Absolutely Amazing!!! The Rhodes, Pianos, and Digital Pianos are exceptional. I love Keyscape!! I have Omnisphere 2, and Stylus RMX, and when Keyscape is combined with Omnisphere its absolutely beautiful. Keyscape creative is amazing! Get Keyscape if you don't have it, it's so great to play with live, or to record into a DAW... LogicX, Protools, StudioOne, etc. I'm confident You will not be disappointed in this VST. Your recordings will definitely be upgraded, due to the impeccable sounds that spectrasonics has engineered throughout Keyscape .

The product demo videos do not do the software justice. The authenticity of all the sampled instruments is second to none. I do not see the need for any other keyboard instrument libraries....ever. Keyscape is King

Amazin plugin

By Carroll from Raleigh, NC
Music Background: R&B Hip Hop

If you're in need of any type of pianos for your tracks look no further. This plug got you covered. I already ready have komplete 10 but this is IMHO on another level in regards to piano sounds. Although there's probably more pianos than you'll ever need and with no organs included... if you had to choose one to get started out as your first plug I would go with Komplete because of the additional instruments. Keyscape gets 5 stars from me because it's only trying to be one thing and that's keys and it does that sooooo well!! It sounds so real I can't explain it. I've heard about Ivory and other plugs but I haven't tried them... all I can say is that I'll never need anymore key lol.
Oh and if you have omnisphere you can layer pads and other sounds on your keys to create your own sound!!! Keyscape with Omnisphere is a lethal combo!!

THE BEST BUT the C7 STILL NEEDS A TWEAK OR 2

By Howard Z. from Arizona
Music Background: Classical

It deserves 5 stars but this review is specifically about the included GRAND PIANO . In tone, this is unparalleled . If they add sympathetic resonance and UNA CORDA (soft pedal capability), i just might toss the actual grand in the building and use the space for something else; (that will certainly save us some on maintenance costs especially due to the desert climate here in Arizona) . The best way to shoot out in these piano wars is grab demos of all the competition . You will quickly discover that the Keyscape competition is left in the dust by Keyscape in this race. Pair this with a high quality weighted 88 key controller and you will appreciate it even more. One contender has the two things that keyscape lacks and that is VI LABS RAVENSCROFT 275; HOWEVER, keep in mind these are two different pianos in tone, timbre and sound altogether.

This package/ bundle is totally worth every penny considering all the other keys included.

Totally Awesome Collection of Vintage Keyboards

By GilCon M. from Chesterfield, Va

Spectrasonics continues its superior detail to sound recreation through the products they develop. The Keyscape collection of keyboards are magnificent and will lay well in any track. The integration feature of Keyscape into Omnisphere 2 is nothing short of amazing and provides an unlimited sound design capability. One's imagination is the only limitation to creating new, fresh and never before heard sounds for the music being composed.

Best Virtual Pianos I've ever heard.

By Jonespnice from Ohio

This is by far the best piano plugin that I've heard thus far, and it's hard to fully appreciate how nice it is until you actually compare it side by side with other piano plugins. With that being said it is still apparent from the first chord that you play that the quality is amazing, shortly after I installed it onto my computer I let a couple of friends play around with it and the first word that came out their mouths were "wow!"
The thing that grabbed my attention first was how rich and how much depth the piano sounds have. There are just the right amount and type of controls to allow a nice level of tweakability. The LA Custom C7 and the Rhodes LA Custom are my two favorite pianos. Another thing that I think is awesome is the progressive load feature which allows you to select and play a preset while it is still loading in the background, searching through presets are fast, fun, and intuitive. I'd recommend Keyscape to anyone.

Spectrasonics does it again

By Jim from San Jose CA

I have been really happy with all of the products so far from a Spectrasonics so when I saw they were coming out with a keyboard product I was very interested. I had been in the market for something that could recreate my 1973 Fender Rhodes Suitcase and haven't been totally happy with the products I've gotten so far.

Once again they exceeded my expectations, the basic dry Rhodes patch is very, very close to my original and with all of the adjustments they've provided I can dial in the sound just how I want it. I then began exploring the clavs and Wurly's and found the same. Then I checked out the acoustic piano patch and am blown away by it. I've been using all of these on gigs and have had zero problems and they sound great, better than anything I've used to date.

The support team at Spectrasonics is amazing, very responsive and eager to help, very similar to the support you get with Sweetwater.

A Must Have for Production!!!

By Donald S. from Birmingham, AL
Music Background: Producer, Keyboards, Arranger (All styles)

This product is worth EVERY penny it costs. I know some will be turned away because it is a bit pricey, however after installing and just playing a few of the instruments I must say this is easily one of the best comprehensive collections of keyboards. Vintage classics reborn as well as some unique combinations of Rhodes, electric, acoustic pianos, and even key bass instruments. The C7 Grand alone is amazing as well as an authentic sample of the legendary Roland MKS-20. On a side note, the creator of this collection, Eric Persing actually created the MKS and JV and XV series Roland modules.....so yeah that is what you are getting. This product was 10 years of research in the making. Do yourself a favor and pick this up as soon as possible
