For all the audio professionals out there that dream of having plug-ins with the remarkable pedigree of Sony’s Oxford Series, we have some good news. In case you failed to read the headline, Sony is porting the Oxford Series over to the Audio Units format, opening up a huge new marketplace. So now, if you work in Logic Pro, Digital Performer, BIAS Peak, and even video applications such as Final Cut Pro, you can have access to the Oxford EQ, Dynamics, and Limiter plug-ins. According to Sony, the remaining four products – Inflator, Transient Modulator, Reverb, and Restoration Tools – will become available “in early 2007.”
Purchasers of Sony Oxford’s Native plug-ins will receive RTAS licences for Pro Tools LE and M-Powered as well as Audio Units licences. For more information, visit the Sony web site.
