With Virtual Console 2.0, Slate Digital created a slicker interface that’s even easier to use than its predecessor. One GUI panel on each plug-in gives you access to all functions. Oversampling is now automatically optimized to match the sound of each console without your having to do it manually. There’s also a new sixth console, the Brit 4k E – a model of an early classic British mixing desk featuring tight, warm low end, rich midrange, smooth high end, and a wide stereo image.
