Rhythm Tone

A guitar tone that is used for comping chord parts and rhythmic background parts. Often rhythm tones are cleaner than lead tones, with less distortion. However, rhythm tones can range from very clean to very dirty, and range from no effects used to heavy effects used to create a “texture.”
