PreSonus announced new updates to their StudioLive series digital mixers, including QMix, which allows up to 10 musicians to each control their own StudioLive monitor mix using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch; and Smaart Engine Technology from Rational Acoustics has been incorporated into the Virtual StudioLive remote-control/editor/librarian software for sound system analysis and optimization. And, Universal Control 1.5.3 and StudioLive Remote 1.2 add numerous features for improved remote control over a StudioLive mixer from an iOS device, including tap tempo, copying and loading channels, copying main mix to aux mix, copying aux mix to aux mix, channel fader linking, and more!
The company also announced PreSonus Exchange, where registered users of PreSonus’ web-connected Studio One DAW can easily and conveniently swap presets, effects chains, MIDI files, and soundsets — all without leaving the program. Users can access online files from directly within the searchable Studio One 2 file browser, including audio preview. Just drag-and-drop from the browser, and Exchange automatically downloads the resources and loads them into your song.
